Jeffrey (Jay) tells a surprisingly sweet story about the first time he ever saw Bridgette. It was in 1996, she was standing on the balcony of the Ramada Inn with her cousin. Though he did not know her; he says, it was that very moment, he fell in love with her.

Through the years, they often crossed paths by way of mutual friends but Jay never spoke about his feelings.

In 2004, Bridgette suffered a sudden and tragic loss which resulted in her and Jay developing a casual but close friendship. However, he still did not speak about his true feelings and she moved on with her life.

In 2020, they would soon learn that while the stars never seemed to align for them, the universe worked her magic and brought them together. This time, the timing was right. Jay expressed his over 2 decades of love for Bridgette. They began dating and quickly fell in love.

Bridgette smiles, "Jay stole my heart. It was the small things; opening doors, shoulder kisses, cooked meals and the "drive safe text" that made me realize, I had truly found something special. "Jay gives me the best of himself and I am elated to have.... "The Best Jay!"

On November 5, 2022, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, surrounded by friends, Jay got down on one knee and asked Bridgette to marry him. Obviously, she said "YES!"
